The FCC is using a new 'blind bidding' format for this auction, in which minimal information is being released to the public between auction rounds, in the form of a 50,000 line data file, and a few spreadsheets.

This is information was previously available only in the war-rooms of the largest bidders in previous spectrum auctions. And, for the first time is being made publicly available.

Large Bidder Makes an Aggregation move in Round 24

February 1 2008, 2pm Eastern - In round 24, things may have taken a turn for the worse for small bidders in the 700 MHz auction. Using the Optimal Markets BidXplorer you can see that new bids blanketed the A and B Blocks in the West and Central regions suggesting that perhaps a single bidder is interested in aggregating large swaths of spectrum in 24 MHz of the lower bands.
